Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Kingswell Digital ("we", "us", "our"), a web design and development business based in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Kingswell Digital is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@kingswelldigital.co.uk.
2. What data we collect
We collect personal data that you choose to give us, principally through the contact form on our Contact page. This includes:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Any other information you include in your message
We do not knowingly collect any special category data (such as health information) through this form, and we ask that you don't include it in your message.
Our web server may also automatically record standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and troubleshooting purposes. We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies on this site; if that changes, this policy will be updated and a cookie banner will be added where required.
3. Why we collect it and our lawful basis
We use the information you submit via the contact form to:
- Respond to your enquiry
- Provide a quote or discuss a potential project
- Keep a record of correspondence in case we work together
Our lawful basis for processing this data is legitimate interests — specifically, responding to enquiries from people who have proactively contacted us. Where we go on to provide services to you, further processing will be based on the performance of a contract with you.
4. How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to a project, we will keep your contact form submission for up to 12 months, then delete it. If we go on to work together, we will retain relevant business records (including contact details and correspondence) for as long as necessary to deliver the project and meet our legal and accounting obligations (typically up to 6 years after the relationship ends), after which it is securely deleted.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share limited data with trusted third parties who help us run this website or our business, such as:
- Our web hosting provider (to run the website and receive form submissions)
- Email service providers (to receive and respond to your enquiry)
These providers only process data on our instructions and are required to keep it secure. We do not transfer personal data outside the UK/EEA except where a provider we use requires it, in which case appropriate safeguards are used.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask us what personal data we hold about you, and request a copy of it
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten"), where applicable
- Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing
- Request that we transfer your data to another organisation, where technically feasible
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@kingswelldigital.co.uk. We will respond within one month, as required by law.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal data we hold from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access, including restricting access to those who need it and using secure (HTTPS) connections on this website.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example as our tools or services change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
9. Contact us
If you have any questions about this privacy policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at hello@kingswelldigital.co.uk.
